This Park is one of the largest parks in Merton and conveniently situated next door to the All England Lawn Tennis Club. It is one of three parks in the borough that are included on English Heritage’s Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest. The park was transformed in the 18th century by the English landscape architect Capability Brown. Park also has one of the biggest lakes in south London and its Watersports Centre has a range of boats and watersports activities. Other facilities at the park include the children's paddling pools and interactive water play areas, athletics track, beach volleyball courts, bowling green, cafe, it is part of the Capital Ring walking route, car parks, changing rooms, crazy golf course, football pitches, ponds, water features, ornamental gardens, pavilion, play areas, rockery, tennis courts, toilets and woodland.
